Join Sainsbury’s Exeter as a part-time Home Delivery Driver and be the face of the online grocery experience. You’ll drive a 3.5 tonne van, deliver on time in good condition, perform vehicle and delivery checks, assist customers with substitutions and delays, and build product knowledge while sometimes helping in-store. Key fit is a friendly proactive attitude, confident driving in busy streets and narrow lanes, and the ability to work in a fast paced, physical role with a willingness to learn new digital tools. Eligibility: over 18, UK driving licence 12 months, up to 6 points, right to work; online risk assessment and possible driving assessment. What you’ll be doing:

• Driving a 3.5 tonne van to deliver groceries to our customers doorsteps, on-time and in a great condition
• Completing checks to ensure the van is organised, clean and roadworthy, and that delivery cases are secure before getting out onto the road to drive safely in a variety of locations and conditions
• Serve our customers brilliantly, supporting with any questions and substitutions, and keeping them aware of any delays  
• Build great knowledge about our products, services and promotions to help provide recommendations 
• When not out making deliveries, you will be helping across the store as needed

• Sainsbury’s has created a safer driving environment by installing in-cab AI cameras that monitor driver behaviour and help ensure compliance with road laws and defensive‑driving standards to protect drivers and other road users

Eligibility: 

• You must be over 18 and have held a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on it
• You will complete an online driving risk assessment as part of your interview and, if you’re successful, there’ll be a driving assessment when you join us
• You must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK
