Green by Nature is seeking two full-time Horticulture Response Operators to join the Hastings team. If you love outdoor work, have a strong work ethic and a full NZ driver’s license, this role could be for you. You’ll handle planting, weeding, mulching and vegetation control, plus setting up bollards, tables and park signs and supporting landscaping projects and mower operation. Experience in horticulture or landscaping is preferred, and physical fitness is essential. Key requirements include a clean license with manual driving and trailer towing, a proactive, safety focused mindset, and solid teamwork. What does a Horticulture Response Operator role involve?

Supporting your team, you will be responsible for a range of duties; from planting, weeding, mulching and vegetation control tasks to setting up bollards, picnic tables, and park signs or sprucing up greenery and working on landscaping projects like street gardens and mower operation.

Who we are looking for:

Ideally, we would love someone who has had experience in a similar role or previous experience in horticulture/landscaping/gardening. This role can be physically demanding, so physical fitness is needed. Other success factors include:

• A clean and current drivers' licence with the ability to drive a manual and tow a trailer
• Be a team player with a positive attitude - helping out your teammates needs to be second nature
• Proven experience adhering to health and safety procedures
• Self motivated with a strong desire to get the job done
