Hospital Manager | AEC and Greencross Kedron

We’re seeking an experienced Hospital Manager to join the Kedron team, overseeing both AEC and Greencross alongside the Business Manager and Veterinary Director. AEC & Greencross Kedron provides 24/7 emergency and general practice care, staffed by a skilled team dedicated to high clinical standards and compassionate patient care.

Your New Role:

As the Hospital Manager, reporting to the Business Manager, you will be a key member of the AEC & Greencross Kedron management team. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the hospital, while maintaining the highest levels of patient care and customer service. Your role will involve providing leadership and direction in areas such as team development, workflow management, supplier and inventory management, operational performance, and patient/customer satisfaction. You will also handle ad-hoc tasks as needed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing day-to-day hospital operations to ensure high standards of patient care and customer service
  • Leading and supporting a busy, high-performing team
  • Overseeing inventory, procurement, purchasing, and supplier relationships
  • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including referring vets
  • Partnering with the Business Manager and leadership team to drive growth and improve profitability
  • Ensuring WH&S compliance and promoting a safe, healthy workplace
  • Assisting with staff rostering, onboarding, and roster entry in UKG Kronos

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Excellent time management, organisational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Veterinary Nurse or Veterinary Technician qualifications
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead by example
  • The capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional and positive demeanour
