Job Description

In these casual roles, based across our Richmond and Eastern sites, you will be part of the Support Services team and report to the Hospitality Services Operations Manager.

These casual shifts are night‑shift only, running from 10:00pm to 6:00am.

You will make an impact by:

  • Providing a high‑quality, clean, and safe environment for patients, doctors, and staff
  • Delivering efficient and thorough cleaning services, including bed making, laundry, linen distribution, waste disposal, and cleaning of theatres, clinical areas, and NUM offices during night shift
  • Demonstrating respect, understanding, and compassion in all interactions
  • Working collaboratively with a dedicated team and striving to deliver consistently efficient services

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Bring an upbeat personality and a positive, proactive attitude
  • Be comfortable working both autonomously and as part of a team, including direct interaction with patients

You will also have:

  • A strong customer service focus with the ability to respond compassionately to patient needs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with clear, confident, and courteous communication
  • An organised approach to work and the ability to operate effectively in a busy environment
  • A well‑developed understanding of infection control principles in a hospital setting
  • The ability to adapt to changing tasks throughout your shift
  • Flexibility and reliability with availability for rostered night shifts

Location Preference

You can choose to work at Epworth Richmond or Epworth Eastern.

Our redeveloped site delivers positive, meaningful, and sustainable impact on the health and wellbeing of our community, delivering much needed health care services and facilities in Melbourne's east.
