You will be at the center of the guest journey, greeting and guiding guests, coordinating suites and itineraries in the booking system, and ensuring a seamless arrival, stay, and departure. To stand out, show a positive, customer first mindset, fluent Icelandic and English, reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work under pressure both independently and as part of a team. This individual is an integral part of the guest journey, facilitating an unforgettable stay. This includes greeting, guiding, and advising at all touchpoints of the hotel experience.

Main responsibilities

• Manage the welcome process for all guests, including showing guests to their suites and confirming their itinerary.
• Ensure arrangements are confirmed in the booking system.
• Prepare for guest arrival by ensuring suites are ready and that the itinerary is confirmed.
• Look after guests during their stay.
• Manage the departure process by confirming travel arrangements and ensuring a smooth check-out process.
• Other tasks related to the needs and desires of the guest.

Requirements

• Service-orientated and positive attitude.
• Passionate about Icelandic tourism and hospitality.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Immaculate grooming.
• Exceptional communication and cooperation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work independently.
• Fluent in both Icelandic and English.
• Knowledge and understanding of Icelandic nature and surroundings.
• High school diploma (or equivalent qualification).
• Experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Outgoing, with excellent people skills.
• Good computer skills.

• Flexible working hours.

The position is based on a shift schedule.
