Infinite Aged Care is seeking a full-time Hotel Services - Kitchen and Dining Assistant in Knoxfield to assist with meal preparation and service, in-room dining, and keeping dining areas clean and ready for service under the Head Chef. This is a physical, fast paced role that involves lifting, bending and pushing while upholding strict hygiene standards and supporting residents with dietary needs. The ideal candidate has at least 6 months of hospitality or related experience, a warm, compassionate demeanor, and solid communication and safety practices. The Opportunity

At Infinite Aged Care, our Hotel Services - Kitchen and Dining Assistants play a key role in meeting our residents’ daily needs. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will work as part of the Hotel Services team, where you will be responsible for a variety of activities including food preparation and service, in room service and ensuring that the dining areas remain clean and ready for service. 

The Role

  • Prepare, plate and serve amazing food to our residents, applying friendly & fun customer service.
  • Turnover the dining room areas, including all related equipment & table settings ready for the next dining session.
  • Attention to detail with customers who have dietary requirements and extra support is needed
  • Ability to think on your feet, be willing to help others, show common sense and workplace safety
  • Excellent safety awareness – adhering to strict hygiene and sanitation.
  • Welcome all our residents with a friendly and helpful attitude, as mealtime is a highlight and social get-togethers - this is enjoyable for our elderly residents.

This role is a physical & fast paced with alot of variety, you will do a lot of bending, squatting, lifting and pushing items to carry out your daily tasks safely. It is important you can perform these tasks without risk of injury to yourself, your colleagues and our residents.

About You

  • 6 Months hospitality, food & beverage, catering/events and/or customer service experience
  • Fun, friendly and compassionate working style and attitude to support our residents.
  • Strong workplace safety behaviours, ability to follow set procedures and be a good communicator
  • Support residents around the dining halls and ensure a hazard free environment.
  • Ability to problem solve, work with limited supervision and ‘think on your feet’.
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Hard Working, flexible with good availability to cover shifts.
  • Bring your genuine care and compassion to mealtimes, activities and helping navigate the dining halls.
