Minor Hotels is expanding its Oaks Queenstown Shores Resort housekeeping team with multiple full-time roles in Queenstown. Expect at least 30 hours per week, 27 NZD per hour, with shifts starting at 9.00am on a rotating Mon to Sun roster. You’ll clean guest rooms to a high standard, make beds, vacuum, and uphold safety and environmental guidelines; training and equipment are provided. Prior housekeeping experience is valued but not essential if you show strong attention to detail, reliability, and good communication. The role requires physical stamina and flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays. NZ working rights are required. Job Description

Oaks Queenstown Shores Resort is excited to expand our housekeeping department, with multiple full-time opportunities now available.

About the job:

• Maintain high standards by thoroughly cleaning guest rooms, including making beds with precision, vacuuming floors, and cleaning bathrooms to ensure a pristine environment.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.
• Collaborating with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Using specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively - with all training and tools provided.
• Building strong, professional relationships with team members, guests, and contractors to help foster a positive, respectful work environment.

Shift Details:

• Minimum of 30 hours per week
• $27 NZD per hour
• Shifts commencing at 9.00am
• Rotating roster across Monday through to Sunday

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have:

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided).
• Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors.
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
• A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
