Position Overview

Under the direction of the Manager - Facilities Management, the Housekeeping Aide works independently and cooperatively to maintain the cleanliness of the facility; respects confidentiality of Golden West Centennial Lodge and residents.

Experience

  • Previous related experience preferred.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Minimum Grade 10 education, Manitoba standards, required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Ability to speak, read and write English.
  • Ability to accept and follow instructions and carry out assignments.
  • Ability to organize work and carry out duties independently and in cooperation with others, with minimal supervision.
  • Adheres to dress code.
  • Confidentiality is maintained in all aspects of work performance.
  • Maintains security and safety of environmental workplace.
  • Communicates effectively with staff and residents.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to move furnishings and equipment and to carry out other housekeeping tasks.
  • Exposure to dust and disinfectants.

 

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
