Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Assistant to join our team in Torquay. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of our hospitality establishment, ensuring a welcoming environment for our guests. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will contribute to the high standards of service that our guests expect and deserve. 25 hours per week over 5 days.

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitise guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to ensure a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Change bed linens and towels, and replenish guest supplies as needed.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
  • Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, and folding linens.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used and stored safely and correctly.
  • Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest requests and inquiries in a friendly manner.

Qualifications:

  • No formal education required; however, a basic understanding of cleaning procedures is beneficial.
  • Previous experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role is an advantage but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and a friendly disposition.
  • Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and lift heavy items as needed.
