Advice for applicants

Lead your resume with the kind of housekeeping leadership you’ve delivered, especially any experience supervising hotel teams, training Room Attendants, and upholding high cleanliness standards. Briefly describe how you coached staff, allocated tasks, and kept operations running smoothly in a busy environment.

When you detail your must-have skills, pair them with concrete examples that show your impact, things like how you motivated a team, improved room readiness, or maintained presentation standards during peak periods. Quantify where possible, but be precise about the actions you took and the outcomes you helped achieve.

For interview preparation, be ready to explain your approach to VIP room preparation, room inspections, and how you communicate with desk control and other departments to keep daily operations aligned. Practice describing your hands-on involvement and how you handle guest requests with professionalism and courtesy.

Finally, plan a thoughtful question to ask at the end of the interview. A good choice could be about how Cordis Auckland measures housekeeping quality and what training or advancement opportunities exist within Langham Hospitality Group, tying it to your own growth goals.
