Your future role

 

The HR Advisor, reporting to the Senior HRBP for UK&I Rolling Stock, is an integral part of Alstom’s HR team. The HR Advisor will be responsible for providing HR support and advice to managers and employees across the organisation. 

 

Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business supporting and coaching managers to deliver exceptional people management practices and much more. You’ll specifically take care of the Rolling Stock teams in Derby and other satellite sites across the area.  

 

We’ll look to you for:

 

  • Develop a partnership with business managers and support the delivery of HR KPI’s
  • Develop and maintain positive and open employee relations
  • Support the development and implementation of standard documentation, processes and procedures
  • Support the Absence management Process
  • Absence Management Data, KPI’s
  • Supporting recruitment from a local level
  • Carry out general HR activities whilst ensuring continuous improvement of HR services
  • Management of Agency Temps and their agencies.
  • Co-ordinate and support Services HR team with People Management processes
  • Support with Payroll queries
  • Supporting with the International Mobility administration
  • Support with Ad-hoc HR Projects

  • CIPD qualified or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of working in Human Resources generalist role with specific experience relating to operational HR.
  • Experience of working on own initiative, as autonomy will be required.
  • Experience of working with HR information systems.
  • Strong knowledge of HR employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Experience dealing with trade unions at local level is desirable
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data to make informed decisions.
  • Planning and organisation skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
