Citizen is seeking a part time HR Advisor (24 hours per week, job share Wednesday to Friday) to support the Maintenance Operations Directorate on a 12 month maternity cover basis. The role is hybrid, based at Birmingham Business Park, with a pro rata salary of £45,074 and responsibilities including coaching managers on policies, supporting attendance, disciplinary, grievance and capability processes, maintaining the automated HR system, and helping develop modern HR policies with HRBPs. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills are essential, as is a collaborative approach and a customer focused mindset. We are looking for a passionate, motivated, and experienced HR Advisor to join our Human Resources team with responsibility of delivering services to the Maintenance Operations Directorate. The Maintenance Operations Directorate provides repairs, cleaning and grounds maintenance to our customers at a variety of locations across the West Midlands covering over 30,000 properties and the Directorate has circa 450 employees. 

As HR Advisor we need you to have:

  • Associate CIPD (Level 5) qualified or working towards
  • Experience of coaching and supporting managers in all aspects of policies and procedures
  • Experience of providing support to managers and employees along with attending meetings involving Managing Attendance, Disciplinary, Grievance and Capability processes
  • Assisting with the maintenance of the automated HR system ensuring new starters, leavers and changes are processed correctly
  • Assisting HRBPs in the development of modern HR Policies and Procedures in line with employment related legislation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a team-oriented approach
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills necessary to effectively work with managers and employees at all levels of the organisation
