Position Overview
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) for Western Europe is a newly created role designed to strengthen the regional HR team's capacity to support the business. Reporting to the HR & Projects Manager, the HRBP will act as a dedicated partner to key regional business functions, supporting the implementation of the people agenda and acting as a key enabler of organisational performance across multiple countries. 
This is an exciting opportunity to gain broad exposure across business functions and countries, and to help build a best-in-class HR function within a leading global building materials business.

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
As HR Business Partner for Western Europe, you will:
•    Act as a dedicated HR Business Partner to key regional business functions, supporting the implementation of regional HR processes and ensuring consistency and quality of execution across the portfolio.
•    Partner with leaders on workforce planning, organisational design and change management initiatives.
•    Support the annual Talent Review and succession planning process for the assigned scope, including the identification of high-potential talent, succession bench strength and career path planning.
•    Contribute to the reward cycle, supporting a high volume of reward requests each cycle, including job offers, compensation reviews and global mobility cases.
•    Manage HR administration for the assigned scope, including contracts, job changes and system updates.
•    Ensure data quality and accuracy within HR systems for the assigned population.
•    Support Learning & Development initiatives, including programme nominations and cohort follow-up across the region.
•    Provide back-up HRBP coverage across other functions within the West HR team, ensuring seamless HR support at all times.
•    Contribute to regional HR projects and initiatives, from design through to delivery.

What We’re Looking For
For this role, you should:
•    Be a credible and empathetic HR partner, able to build trust quickly with leaders and employees at all levels.
•    Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
•    Be rigorous and detail-oriented, particularly in HR administration and data management.
•    Show curiosity and a growth mindset, with a genuine interest in developing HR expertise across multiple domains.
•    Be adaptable and resilient, comfortable operating in a fast-paced, complex and multi-cultural environment.
•    Communicate effectively in English and at least one other European language.
•    Be a collaborative team player, contributing positively to the West HR team culture.

 

Experience & Qualifications
You are/have:
•    Minimum 4–6 years of HR experience, ideally in a generalist or HRBP role.
•    Master's degree in HR Management, Organisational Behaviour or a related discipline.
•    Languages: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in any other European language is an advantage.
•    Digital: Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; familiarity with HR data tools, AI or reporting is an advantage.
