The HR Co-ordinator will be responsible for delivering high-quality HR support, playing a vital role in employee onboarding and safeguarding compliance checks, supporting the HR department and wider business by handling administrative tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes.

Key Accountabilities
Completing onboarding and compliance processes – conducting background checks in accordance with the EYFS Statutory Framework.
Preparing recruitment documentation including offer letters and employment contracts.
Setting up DBS applications on Matrix Security Watchdog and requesting employment references in a timely manner.
Assisting with salary benchmarking exercises.
Processing DBS renewals for existing staff members and liaising with the external background checks team.
Making necessary arrangements for training and events, issuing certificates of attendance and updating personnel records with training attended.
Managing training feedback questionnaires and reporting on relevant findings.
Issuing Employee of the Month certificates to staff and sending Prezzee e-voucher awards.
Co-ordinating the annual long service award process by preparing the associated letters and liaising with the nursery managers.
Assisting the HR team with the planning and organising of the Annual Christmas party.
Completing administration for leavers including confirmation letters and archiving of personnel files.
Co-ordinating the process for staff going on maternity/paternity leave and issuing the associated letters.
Running ad-hoc reports for exit and recruitment surveys.
Supporting with the monthly payroll process by collating sickness/absence documentation and fit notes.
Acting as a note-taker in meetings with staff.
Helping to maintain the company intranet pages.
Supporting the HR team with the collation of documentation during the annual audit process.
Issuing communications to the business and responding to requests for information and reports.
Visits to the nursery settings and completion of file audits.

Minimum of 5 years’ HR experience
CIPD level 3 qualification
Up to date knowledge of employment law and practice
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong team ethic with the ability to work independently
Ability to plan and prioritise workload, working under pressure to tight deadlines
Proficient use of MS office packages as well as some familiarity with HR Systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Access to own transport to visit nursery settings
Satisfactory Enhanced DBS check
