The HR Intern will be supporting various HR functions like Recruitment, Onboarding, Compensation and Benefits,HR Policies Formulation and Implementation, Employee Records Management and General Administrative tasks.

  • Handbook standardization of various countries and ensuring its alignment to local laws. Will be involved in  creating and maintaining a consistent and comprehensive employee handbook that outlines the organization's policies, procedures, and expectations.
  • Review and update Table of Benefits across countries and benchmark to current market practice. Carry out research of the benefits offered by competitors or companies within container shipping and create a comprehensive benefits package, that can assist in attracting and retaining top talent, improve employee satisfaction, and promote overall well-being.
  • Support with administering PI/LI assessments for shortlisted candidates for various positions within Areas in Region Middle East.
  • Source interns as when required and develop an intern pipeline. Establish, develop and maintain relationships with reputable universities and colleges to stay informed about potential interns. Create a pool of highly skilled interns.
  • Assist with reformatting the job descriptions to the standard template to ensure consistency and clarity across the region.
  • Review, update or creation of company policies. Review and analyze existing policies to identify areas for improvement. Update or create new policies based on the review and analysis. Collect relevant data, including laws, regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
  • Updating of employee personal folders /files with all proper documentation. Collecting and filing relevant documentation, such as employee contracts, performance reviews, and training records.
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of a standardized contract template within the areas in Region Middle East.
  • Information board preparation. Creating and maintaining a display board that showcases important information to employees. Designing and laying out the content in a clear and visually appealing way.
  • Assist with Pre-boarding & Onboarding activities for new joiners as required.
  • Prepare new reports for ease of maintenance and verification of records. 
  • Documentation and filing support as required. Creating, maintaining, and storing documents and records in employee personal files in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Presentation updates and conduct surveys
  • Assistance with project work and any adhoc activities/requests as required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably BSc Human Resources Management, Business Administration, IT related course or Psychology.
  • 0-1 year of experience working in an office environment(desirable)
  • Proficiency in working with MS Office, AI or familiarity with HRIS.
  • Excellent communication skills. Fluent in spoken and written English. 
  • A proactive, positive, can-do attitude.
  • Highly organized individual who can cope with mounting pressure.
  • Must be able to demonstrate integrity when dealing with confidential data.
  • A great team player.Comfortable working in diverse culture environment.
