Job Description

The HR Support Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the organisation has efficient, compliant and consistent HR practices across Australia and New Zealand. Drawing on expertise across people, processes, systems, data and compliance, this role combines workforce analytics, HR operations, industrial relations knowledge and continuous improvement to support HR services delivery across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

  • Improve employee experience and organisational performance through process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Set HR record management standards and promote adherence to ensure data accuracy, governance and integrity.
  • Provide process guidance and advisory support to the wider HR Australasia team.
  • Support compliance with Awards, Enterprise Agreements, employment legislation and internal policies.
  • Identify, validate and map key HR processes and workflows across the organisation.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, control documents and reference materials, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare data for and lead the HR Australasia contribution to regulatory reporting processes, including WGEA, TCSI and other compliance obligations.
  • Prepare data for and lead the HR Australasia contribution to annual remuneration review, Award and Enterprise Agreement rate increase processes.
  • Partner with HR, Payroll and business stakeholders to identify opportunities to reduce risk, improve efficiency and enhance service delivery.
  • Contribute HR subject matter expertise to projects and system improvements that impact HR operations.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Strong understanding of HR operations, employment lifecycle processes and workforce compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply Awards, Enterprise Agreements, employment legislation and HR policies.
  • Ability to analyse complex information and translate it into practical business recommendations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build credibility and influence outcomes.
  • Ability to quickly develop an understanding of different business models and workforce environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen, sound judgement and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse, manipulate and present data effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.

Desirable

  • Experience with data analysis, measurement systems, report creation and data visualization tools/techniques
  • Relevant HR or tertiary qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar position
