Job Title: HRIS Specialist MEIAT

Reports To: HR Operations Project Lead

 

Purpose

 

The HRIS Specialist for the MEIA region is responsible for Level 2 support and local configuration, administration, maintenance, of the regional systems such as SAP HR/Payroll, Workday HCM/TA/TM. The role ensures system integrity, compliance with local regulatory requirements, across the region.

How will you make an impact?

 

System Administration & Configuration

  • Administer, configure, and maintain HR / Payroll platforms within the MEIAT region including SAP Payroll, Workday HCM, including Core HR, Talent, and Payroll integrations.
  • Manage role-based security access, user provisioning, and audit compliance across SAP and Workday platforms.
  • Support system upgrades, patches, releases, and testing activities for HRIS and payroll modules.

 

Technical Support & Issue Resolution

  • Provide Tier 2 support for HRIS and Payroll-related technical issues across the MEIAT region.
  • Troubleshoot system errors, data discrepancies, integration failures, and coordinate with IT, vendors, or group HRIS teams for resolution.
  • Serve as regional contact for Workday and SAP tickets, escalating to Group HRIS (L3) team as required.


Integrations & Reporting

  • Manage integrations between Workday/SAP and third-party payroll vendors, benefits providers, and time/attendance systems.
  • Validate inbound and outbound HRIS interfaces to ensure accuracy and compliance with data privacy requirements.
  • Develop and deliver custom HR and payroll reports (Workday Report Writer, SAP Ad Hoc queries).
  • Provide workforce analytics and dashboards to HRBPs, Finance, and leadership teams.

 

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with MEIA-specific labor laws, tax regulations, and data privacy legislation (e.g., GDPR, DIFC/UAE, South Africa POPIA, India DPDP Act).
  • Support internal and external audits, preparing evidence of system and payroll controls.
  • Maintain accurate system documentation, including process flows, SOPs, and configuration logs.

 

Process Improvement & Projects

  • Support HR Operations Projects Lead with Digital and improvement projects, ensuring alignment with group standards while addressing local business needs.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, self-service, and digital HR process improvements.
  • Provide end-user training and support to HR teams and line managers to ensure effective system adoption.

 

 

Key Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • HRIS, Payroll, or Workday/SAP certifications preferred.

 

Experience

  • 5+ years of HRIS experience with a focus on Workday HCM and SAP HR/Payroll modules.
  • Hands-on experience in regional HR/Payroll operations support across MEIA countries.
  • Strong knowledge of local HR/payroll regulatory requirements across Middle East, India, and Africa.
  • Proven experience in managing system integrations, security roles, and reporting.
  • Project management experience in HR system implementation or upgrades.

 

Skills

  • Strong technical knowledge of Workday HCM (Core HR, Payroll, Reporting) and SAP HR/Payroll modules.
  • Proficiency in HR reporting tools (Workday Report Writer, SAP Ad Hoc Query, Excel, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of payroll interfaces, time management systems, and vendor integrations.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
