You will develop and implement HSE policies, lead incident investigations and audits, deliver training, and ensure compliance with Company, Client and regulatory standards on an EPC/EPCM project. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of HSE management experience in mineral processing or related industries, with site based international project exposure, and holds a technical certificate or diploma in Health and Safety. Lycopodium is currently recruiting for a HSE Manager to join our team in Prince George, BC.
Reporting to the Construction Manager, the HSE Manager will provide specialist advice to ensure the project is delivered professionally and safely in line with Company, Client and industry requirements.
The HSE Manager's role includes developing and implementing policies and practices to identify/mitigate hazardous conditions in the workplace and external environments, investigating accidents and environmental incidents, and liaising with engineers, management, and health and safety authorities to identify causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence, providing advice and training on safety protocols and conducting audits to ensure compliance with organization/government standards related to health and safety and the environment.
