About the role

We are looking for a proactive and forward-thinking Health, Safety, Environment  Systems Coordinator to help strengthen and improve the systems that support our HSEQ performance across the business.

Reporting to the Chief Health, Safety & Risk Officer, this role will maintain and continuously improve our Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring alignment with ISO standards, ACC requirements, legislation, and business needs.

You will play a key role in using data, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve reporting, identify trends, strengthen assurance, and support better risk-based decision-making.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain and improve the Integrated Management System (IMS) in line with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 31000, and ACC requirements.
  • Manage controlled documents, training packages compliance registers, risk registers, and HSEQ records.
  • Support internal and external audits, assurance activities, and corrective action management.
  • Analyse HSEQ data, identify trends and risks, and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Develop dashboards, KPIs, and monthly HSEQ performance reports for leadership teams.
  • Support digital HSEQ systems, data quality improvements, and reporting optimisation.
  • Use AI, automation, and analytics tools to improve system efficiency and reporting capability.
  • Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities across HSEQ processes.
  • Promote practical, consistent, and user-friendly systems that support our people.

Qualifications

About you

You will be a systems-focused HSEQ professional who enjoys improving processes, analysing data, and creating practical solutions.

You will bring:

  • Relevant qualification or experience in HSEQ, environmental management, quality, business systems, or data analytics.
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 31000, and ACC Accredited Employer Programme requirements.
  • Experience managing HSEQ systems, compliance processes, or quality management systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Experience preparing reports and insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and reporting tools.
  • Experience with digital HSEQ systems (Damstra/Ideagen or Eco Portal experience desirable).
  • Understanding of AI, automation, and analytics tools to improve business processes and training.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
