Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and people‑centered HR Generalist to play a key role in supporting the AMAT Shared Services Center Human Resources function. This position will partner closely with SSC Human Resources Business Partner to deliver high‑quality HR guidance, support core HR programs, and help drive a positive and engaging workplace culture. Based in our Alpharetta, GA office, this role contributes to the effectiveness of our HR operations through strong relationship‑building, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to employee experience and organizational needs.
Location
- Hybrid - 3 days in office. 100% in office during onboarding and training period.
What Shared Services Does
- O2C (Order-to-Cash): Manages the customer journey from order to payment, driving smoother revenue processes.
- R2R (Record-to-Report): Enables robust financial reporting and accounting.
- P2P (Procure-to-Pay): Ensures timely vendor payments and strong supplier relationships. Manages the Travel and Expense program.
- Center of Excellence: Drives innovation and continuous improvement.
- Payroll (Hire-to-Retire): Ensures accurate, compliant employee payments.
Shared Services enables companies to focus on growth and strategic goals while maintaining operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports high‑volume hiring needs and ensures a seamless new‑hire onboarding experience.
- Serves as the first point of contact for employee inquiries on HR policies, benefits, payroll, and hiring processes; escalates complex issues as needed.
- Helps establish foundational SSC HR operations by developing workflows, documenting procedures, creating knowledge resources, and supporting new process rollouts.
- Strengthens the SSC talent brand and pipeline through on‑campus recruiting, coordination of the new‑hire mentor program, and management of key components of the summer internship and rotational programs.
- Conducts or assists with new‑hire orientation.
- Supports corporate HR initiatives, including performance management and learning & development program coordination.
- Coordinates the offboarding process by preparing required documentation, processing HR/IT/payroll updates, collecting assets, and ensuring a compliant separation experience.
- Performs periodic audits of I‑9s, E‑Verify, and other HR data to ensure compliance, accuracy, and clean, up‑to‑date records.
- Supports SSC initiatives by preparing presentations, analyzing employee data, and gathering information to aid integration and organizational development efforts.
- Maintains and updates SSC job descriptions and organizational charts.
- Serves as an active member of the SSC Culture Crew, contributing to initiatives that promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture.
- Assists with planning and executing special events such as benefits enrollment, wellness fairs, SSC employee meetings, and recognition programs.
- Supports employees and managers through organizational change with clear communication and HR guidance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or equivalent work experience (required).
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience required.
- HR certification preferred.
- Prior experience with HRIS databases a plus.
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
- Knowledge of office administration procedures.
- Attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Work Environment
- Hybrid role with flexible work options, requiring some in-person presence.
- Normal office working conditions with a quiet noise level.
- Up to 5% travel may be required.
