Al Shirawi Group is seeking an Industrial Engineer – Continuous Improvement and Production for a full time onsite role in Dubai. You will lead Lean Manufacturing and 5S on the shop floor, conduct time and motion studies, set standard cycle times, perform line balancing, and drive productivity, OEE and throughput improvements while developing SOPs, work instructions and one point lessons and training production staff. You may also serve as a Production Engineer reliever, coordinating manpower, machine utilization and daily targets. Ideal candidates have 4 to 8 years in Industrial, Mechanical or Production Engineering, a relevant degree, strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, and ERP SAP exposure; Lean or Six Sigma certs and HVAC or coil manufacturing experience are a plus. Key Responsibilities
1. Lean Manufacturing & 5S
- Drive and sustain 5S and Lean Manufacturing practices across the shop floor.
- Conduct regular 5S audits and follow up on corrective actions.
- Promote Kaizen, waste elimination, visual management and continuous improvement activities.
- Identify non-value-added activities and implement practical improvement actions.
- Support development of a continuous improvement culture among supervisors and operators.
- Monitor and report the progress and effectiveness of Lean initiatives.
2. Industrial Engineering & Productivity
- Conduct time and motion studies for manufacturing processes.
- Establish and periodically review standard cycle times for production activities.
- Perform line balancing, bottleneck analysis and manpower optimization.
- Analyze production capacity, manpower requirements and resource utilization.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, OEE and throughput.
- Support layout and workflow improvements to improve material and process flow.
- Measure improvements and quantify productivity and cost-saving benefits.
3. Process Standardisation & Documentation
- Develop, implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WI), One Point Lessons (OPL), process flow charts and standard work documents.
- Ensure manufacturing processes are clearly documented and followed consistently.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Engineering, R&D and HSE teams when developing or revising processes.
- Train production personnel on new or revised SOPs and work methods.
- Periodically audit shop-floor compliance with established standards.
4. Production Support / Reliever
- Act as a reliever for the Production Engineer during leave, absence or operational requirements.
- Manage day-to-day production activities, including manpower allocation, machine utilization and production priorities.
- Monitor achievement of daily production targets while maintaining required quality and safety standards.
- Coordinate with PPC, Stores, Quality, Maintenance and other departments to resolve production constraints.
- Monitor production losses, downtime, rejection and bottlenecks and initiate corrective actions.
- Ensure proper shift handover and production reporting when handling production responsibilities.

Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Industrial / Production Engineering
- Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma certification will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 4–8 years of experience in Industrial Engineering, Lean Manufacturing, Production Engineering or Manufacturing Operations.
- Hands-on experience in time study, line balancing, 5S, Kaizen, SOP development and productivity improvement is essential.
- Experience in managing production manpower and shop-floor operations is preferred.
- Experience in HVAC, heat exchanger, coil manufacturing or similar engineering manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.

- Sustain an effective 5S and Lean system across assigned manufacturing areas.
- Establish and maintain reliable standard cycle-time data for key manufacturing processes.
- Improve productivity through line balancing, waste elimination and manpower optimization.
- Ensure critical manufacturing processes are covered by updated and practical SOPs / Work Instructions.
- Generate measurable improvements through Kaizen and continuous improvement projects.
- Effectively manage production operations whenever assigned as a Production Engineer reliever.
