CERN’s Infrastructure Technician role EP-ADO-SO-2026-54-GRAE is an onsite, 24‑month opportunity in Geneva for graduates with a general secondary education diploma and up to two years of post‑graduation experience to help upgrade the ATLAS rack infrastructure and gain hands‑on exposure to electrical and electromechanical equipment. You will decommission legacy racks, install and commission electrical and electromechanical gear, and support procurement, stock and logistics under ATLAS Technical Coordination. Key requirements include basic experience with industrial electrical gear and mechanical assemblies, a strong willingness to learn CERN standards, teamwork and a detail‑oriented mindset, English with a plan to learn French, and a valid driving license. Eligibility: nationals of CERN Member/Associate Member States, no CERN fellowship or prior contract, maximum two years post‑graduation experience, and highest qualification being a general secondary education diploma; Bachelor/Master/PhD holders are not eligible. As a graduate Electromechanical Technician, you will join the ATLAS Technical coordination team driving the daily infrastructure operations of the ATLAS Detector. You will contribute to the upgrade of the rack infrastructure, needed for the ATLAS Phase II upgrade, gaining hands-on experience with state-of-art industrial equipment in different electrical and mechanical domains.
