Roche is expanding its French operations with a Service & Maintenance Engineer based in the Paris region. The company champions authenticity, open conversation, and real connections, aiming to improve health outcomes and ensure broad access to care now and for the years ahead. Roche emphasises that every voice matters as part of building a healthier future. Roche is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

The on-site, full-time position will sit in Paris - Ile de France, with work at client sites across Roche’s portfolio. It suits hands-on engineers who enjoy diagnosing and solving technical issues for customers and keeping sophisticated equipment running smoothly.

The role calls for a practical, customer-focused mindset and a track record across several technical disciplines, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients in English in a multi-national setting.

Keeping Roche equipment in top shape across the Paris region

The daily rhythm starts with overseeing installations, pre-installations, and the validation of new equipment, followed by the transfer of devices to customers. You’ll keep systems alive through preventive and corrective maintenance, addressing issues before they impact operations. You’ll also handle upgrades to software and hardware (retrofits) and, when needed, the deinstallation of equipment. Accurate activity reporting that aligns with QSE standards is part of the job, and you’ll continually push to expand your technical knowledge.

The toolkit you bring

  • Broad multi-technical know-how spanning electricity, hydraulics, mechanics, robotics, and electronics.

  • A strong sense of how to build and maintain relationships with clients, with adaptability and a service-first attitude.

  • Proven ability to apply practical tools and problem-solving methods to diagnose and resolve issues.

  • Operational English to communicate with customers and colleagues in an international setting.

Advice for applicants

Put your multi-technical background at the top of your résumé, and highlight experience across electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, robotics, and electronic systems, especially any field-service work or equipment upgrades you’ve led.

When you describe your experience, give concrete examples of times you built strong client relationships, adapted to changing requirements, and kept services running smoothly under pressure.

Be ready to walk through a real installation or retrofit you led, including how you planned pre-installation, validated the setup, transferred the equipment, and documented the results to meet QSE standards.

Ask about ongoing training and how Roche supports engineers to upgrade their technical knowledge in the field, as continuous learning is part of the role’s progression.
