The Injury Prevention Technician I (IP Tech I) is responsible for performing patient transfers and repositioning under the supervision of the Nursing staff using the appropriate patient lifting equipment. Follows national safe patient standards and guidelines to minimize manual lifting of patients. Responsible for the maintenance and inventory of patient lifting equipment along with maintaining proper hygiene of the slings on each unit. May assist with team member education and training of patient lifting equipment and transfer techniques when indicated. Demonstrates positive customer relations, infection control and risk management standards. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and value of Tampa General Hospital.
