Position Summary

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for participating in the developing and maintaining of customer relationships, preparing quotations, and the supporting the sale of manufactured products and solutions.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of company products, production capabilities and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with outside sales representatives and internal teams to exceed customer expectations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to drive retention and revenue growth.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through data analytics, prospecting, lead generation, and customer referrals.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, pricing, lead times, specifications, and availability.
  • Prepare and manage quotations, proposals, and bid responses in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Follow up on open quotes and sales opportunities to maximize conversion rates.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, and pipeline information within the CRM system.
  • Resolve customer concerns and escalate issues as necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in forecasting sales activity and market demand.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Regular and predictable attendance

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of inside sales, customer service, account management, or manufacturing-related experience.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot unfamiliar situations, learn systems quickly, and identify practical solutions when clear direction is not immediately available.

Preferred

  • Experience with aggregate or asphalt building materials.
  • Experience utilizing CRM systems (Salesforce).

Salary and Benefits: 

  • This position offers an hourly pay of $28 - $30 based on experience.
