Ko tō tūranga – your role

As an Insights Partner, you will play a pivotal role in helping One New Zealand turn performance data into better business decisions, stronger customer outcomes, and clearer strategic direction. Sitting at the heart of Customer Delivery & Operations, this role goes beyond reporting to uncover the why behind performance, partnering closely with operational and commercial leaders to identify root causes, surface opportunities, and shape actions that improve customer experience, service efficiency, and business results.

Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do

  • Lead analysis to identify the root causes behind customer experience, service, and business performance issues
  • Turn complex performance data into clear, actionable insights that help prioritise initiatives and drive measurable outcomes
  • Develop dashboards and visualisations that improve visibility of key performance drivers and support self-service insight across teams
  • Deliver regular, high-quality insights that support smarter decision-making and reduce reliance on manual reporting
  • Identify trends and opportunities to improve operational performance, customer experience, and business results
  • Work with data teams to resolve reporting gaps, metric inconsistencies, and visibility issues
  • Monitor the performance of initiatives and highlight when action is needed to keep benefits on track
  • Influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders, through clear, commercially relevant insight and recommendations
  • Support customer service reporting and help drive greater automation and efficiency in reporting over time

  • Proven experience working with reporting and operational data, using tools such as Power BI, Excel, and SQL
  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to uncover the “why” behind performance and turn data into clear, actionable insights
  • Proven ability to interpret performance across operations, customer experience, and sales or conversion, and connect this to business outcomes
  • Strong business partnering skills, with the confidence to support leaders, influence decisions, and present insights clearly to a range of stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complexity, challenge constructively, and align others around a clear narrative
  • Curious, commercially minded, and focused on using insight to drive meaningful outcomes
