Job Description

AECOM is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inspector - Civil (Roads) to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our infrastructure projects, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of road construction activities in accordance with project specifications and local regulations.

• Conduct thorough inspections of road construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, contract documents, and health and safety standards
• Supervise and coordinate with contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements and timelines
• Prepare detailed daily reports on work progress, material deliveries, and inspection findings for the Resident Engineer (RE) or Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE)
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle
• Perform site measurements and surveying checks for pipe alignments and levels as required
• Collaborate with the project team to identify and resolve site issues promptly
• Monitor and maintain records of contractor resources, equipment usage, and material testing
• Assist in the preparation of project-related correspondence and documentation
• Participate in client inspections and coordinate with project stakeholders
• Oversee the start-up, commissioning, and handover processes of site works
• Conduct audits to ensure conformity with contract documents and contractor-submitted plans

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 7 years of experience in road and infrastructure projects, with at least 3 years of experience in the UAE
• In-depth knowledge of construction contract documents, detailed drawings, and specifications
• Strong understanding of health and safety measures in construction environments
• Proficiency in site supervision, inspection techniques, and quality control procedures
• Experience with site measurements and basic surveying checks.
