Nutrien is seeking an Instrumentation Technologist to join its Rocanville, SK operations full-time onsite. You’ll provide instrumentation support across the site, installing and maintaining control loops, setting up Ethernet and fiber optic communications, and measuring flow, level, pressure, density, vibration and temperature using the Hart protocol. You’ll program and configure Delta V DCS and develop loop drawings in AutoCAD, with routine calibration of transmitters and valves. You’ll be accountable for time, quality and cost. Ideal candidates hold an Instrumentation Technologist credential or Saskatchewan or Interprovincial Red Seal as an Instrument Mechanic, with 3 to 5 years in an industrial environment, strong safety leadership, and good communication. What You'll Do:
The successful candidate will provide Instrumentation support to the operations at Rocanville and be responsible for the following:
- Installation and maintaining instrumentation control loops
- Installation of Ethernet and Fiber Optic communication
- Measure accuracy of flow, level, pressure, density, vibration and temperature, etc using hart protocol
- Programming and configuration on Delta V DCS
- Develop and maintain loop drawings using Auto Cad
- Routine maintenance such as calibration and configuration will be performed on transmitters and valves
- Accountable for the time, quality, and cost of the above tasks
What You'll Bring:
- Instrumentation Technologist or a valid Saskatchewan or Interprovincial Certificate of Journeyperson Status (Red Seal) as an Instrument Mechanic
- Positive Safety behavior and safety leadership
- Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment as well as independently
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interact positively with co-workers and supervisors
- Willingness to learn and gain adequate knowledge and experience through training
- Ability to make and implement decisions under all conditions Stable work record with 3 to 5 years’ experience, preferably in an industrial environment is an asset
