Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Interior Design Specialist to join our growing design team. This role focuses on material selection, finishes, sanitaryware, furniture, and preparation of detailed schedules and specification documents. The candidate will play a vital role in maintaining design quality and ensuring smooth coordination between design, suppliers, and procurement teams.

Key Responsibilities

The key duties and responsibilities of the Interior Design Specialist include, but are not limited to:

•Prepare comprehensive Specification Schedules based on approved concept designs, renders, and mood boards
• Develop and maintain detailed schedules for:
Finishes Selection
Sanitaryware Selection
Furniture Selection
• Select and coordinate finishes, materials, sanitaryware, and furniture in line with project requirements
• Communicate directly with suppliers and manufacturers to request quotations, catalogs, and technical data
• Request, receive, review, and follow up on material and furniture samples
• Track sample approvals and ensure timely submissions
• Prepare and review material and furniture submittals
• Coordinate with procurement, project management, and site teams
• Ensure selections comply with project specifications, budgets, and timelines
• Maintain updated material, furniture, and supplier databases
• Support value engineering when required while preserving design intent
• Prepare comparison sheets and technical evaluations when needed

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
2–5 years of relevant experience in materials, finishes, and specifications
• Strong technical knowledge of finishes, sanitaryware, and furniture systems
• Proven experience dealing with suppliers and managing samples
• Experience in preparing finishes, sanitary, and furniture schedules
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office (Revit is an advantage)
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlinesment systems is a plus.
