Bombardier is seeking an Intern, Data & Platform Engineering for Fall 2026, an eight‑month onsite opportunity in Québec with a hybrid option. You’ll design and implement data pipelines, prepare data for analytics, improve data quality and monitoring, help build cloud data platform components, troubleshoot workflows, and contribute to documentation while you learn modern cloud and big data tools. To thrive, you should be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field, have basic Python and SQL, understanding of ETL/ELT and data modeling, and familiarity with cloud platforms, Git, and visualization tools. Highlight end‑to‑end pipelines using Spark, Databricks or Snowflake and any Power BI or Tableau work, show teamwork and a learning mindset, and be prepared for occasional travel; this is a student internship.

What are your contributions to the team?
- Support the design and implementation of data pipelines (ingestion, transformation, and storage)
- Assist in preparing and structuring data for analytics, reporting, and data science use cases
- Collaborate with engineers and analysts to improve data quality, reliability, and monitoring
- Help develop and maintain components of cloud-based data platforms
- Participate in troubleshooting and optimizing data workflows
- Contribute to documentation and adoption of best practices in data engineering
- Learn and apply modern tools and technologies in cloud and big data ecosystems
How to thrive in this role?
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
- Basic knowledge of Python and SQL
- Understanding of data concepts (data structures, ETL/ELT, basic data modeling)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environmentExposure to data tools (e.g., Spark, Databricks, Snowflake)
- Experience with version control (Git) and basic software development practices
- Knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Interest in data architecture or machine learning ecosystems
