ROLE DESCRIPTION

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the Monitoring & Digital Systems Engineering team, growing organisation within a dynamic industry.

Based in Betzdorf, Luxembourg, you will contribute to the migration to IP by documenting all existing multicast streams carrying DVB transport streams and setting up a database (likely EXCEL format) for the Manual Analysis System (MAS).

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Work together with the MDS-GOE team to understand the DVB Multicast IP infrastructure, it’s capabilities and functionality and its architecture.
  • Work together with the MDS-CAS (Dataminer) team to understand the how the DVB Multicast IP infrastructure could be included in the SES Dataminer ecosystem.
  • List all multicast services currently in use across the broadcast network, both monitoring and broadcast networks.
  • Provide a database compatible with the MAS, streamlining the process of analysis for the operational team.

 

 

YOUR PROFILE

1.You must have

  • Current student in Telecommunications, Media Technology or Information Technology or in a relevant area.
  • Strong computer literacy (MS PowerPoint, Excel, Access).
  • Programming skills is an asset.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Able to work in Luxembourg (EU-citizenship or valid work permit for Luxembourg).

 

2. It would be nice if you had

  • Knowledge of Media / Video standards, DVB, IP and multicast an advantage
  • Knowledge of relational databases and REST interface technology
  • Strong interest in the global technology, media, and telecom business and satellite communications in particular
  • Additional languages considered an asset
