Nabors is seeking an Intern - Field Technician in Dubai to perform engineering tasks under close supervision, including reviewing simple plans, basic calculations, writing permits, computer modeling, and inspecting project components. Interns typically support experienced engineers, shadow operations, and tackle assignments that support larger projects while building a strong network within the company. Candidates should be working toward a BS in Engineering and bring knowledge of fundamental principles, planning, equipment and materials, and the ability to read and interpret drawings. Perform a variety of routine engineering tasks in a training status under close supervision. Incumbent will perform basic engineering tasks such as the review of less complex plans, performance of basic engineering calculations, writing of permits and performance of computer modeling, and inspection of parts of an engineering project. Interns will typically support one or more experienced engineers in performance of assignments, spend time shadowing actual operations, and have unique assignments that support larger projects as well as experience the day-to-day workings of engineering. Interns may perform and/or participate in additional activities/events which help them build a strong network within the Company community and with fellow interns.
