As an intern you fill an essential role in the Material Management team to learn the workings of the team and to support them on admin orientated day-to-day tasks as well as driving and maintaining the set-up and up-keep of the internal Material Library. Your responsibilities

  • Support the Material Management team in administrative and day-to-day tasks
  • Maintain the physical Material Library and keep it up to date with new and seasonal materials as well as structure and organize the library set-up, including its seasonal re-organisation
  • Coordinate in-house material testing
  • Support the creation of test samples
  • Receive, catalogue and label incoming material samples (swatch cards, hangers, and fabric and trim filing)
  • Maintain material records and data in PLM and Excel, keeping article, color and supplier information up to date
  • Prepare and coordinate parcels and sample shipments, both incoming and outgoing
  • Log and track material test results, and help organise and file test reports
  • Support supplier communication – getting samples, requesting documentation and certifications, and following up
  • Prepare materials and swatches for design meetings, range reviews and presentations
  • Support the team’s collaboration with the Sustainability team – for example researching new and alternative materials, and reviewing the environmental footprint of new and current materials
  • Help keep sustainability documentation up to date, e.g. certificates and recycled-content claims

Your profile

  • Training / further training in the textile sector; textile management, textile technology or basic textile training
  • Curious personality with a creative mindset
  • Teamplayer with a organized and collaborative way of working
  • Strong knowledge in MS Office and product lifecycle management tool (PLM); Power Pivot and experience with an ERP system are desirable
  • Very good oral and written English skills, every other language is a plus
  • Passionate about the mountains and outdoor sports in general
