HelloFresh’s Menu Planning & Ingredients Intern sits at the heart of product operations, bridging two teams to shape menus and manage HelloFresh Market onsite in Amsterdam for five to six months, with a paid internship at 700 euros gross per month. The role: What's in the Box

Our Product Operations team sits at the very heart of what HelloFresh does — making sure the most attractive menus and the right ingredients reach the right customers, week after week. 

As a Menu Planning & Ingredients Intern, you will work across two closely connected teams, giving you a rare, end-to-end view of how our menus come to life. From shaping what lands on our customers' plates to keeping our HelloFresh Market running smoothly, your work will have a real and visible impact on the product. This is a 5-6 month internship based in Amsterdam, and it's an ideal role for someone who is equally energized by food and by data.

This is a paid internship (€700 gross/month based on a 40-hour work week) designed to offer hands-on experience in a fast-paced, international environment. As an intern, you will have structured guidance to support your learning and development. We aim to create an environment where you can build practical skills, gain exposure to how HelloFresh operates, and learn through doing. The internship is suitable for students whose educational requirements allow them to complete an internship during the proposed period.

What you’ll do: The Recipe

• Managing ingredient and recipe swaps in response to availability changes, market conditions, and customer feedback — keeping our offering fresh and on-point.
• Reviewing planned menus to drive variety, innovation, customer appeal, and create pairings for our addon modularity.
• Breathe new life into recipes by testing new ingredients, supporting re-cook sessions, and helping ensure consistent quality across our range.
• Analyze customer feedback to surface actionable insights, translating what our customers are saying into concrete improvements to our recipes and ingredients.
• Apply your sensory skills by evaluating new and improved ingredients, contributing to the quality and taste standards our customers expect.
• Manage day-to-day operations for HelloFresh Market — covering everything from ingredient availability and stock tracking to pricing updates, margin calculations, and competitor benchmarking.
• Support both teams with ad-hoc analyses, tastings, and operational requests as they arise.

What you’ll bring: The Ingredients

• You are currently enrolled in an HBO/WO program, ideally with a background in business, food technology, or a related field.
• A genuine enthusiasm for food, combined with comfort analyzing with data and drawing conclusions from it.
• Strong organizational skills — you juggle multiple priorities without losing focus or attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and/or Google Sheets; you're confident working with spreadsheets and aren't fazed by numbers.
• A proactive mindset with a strong eagerness to learn.
• An affinity for sensory evaluation is a plus.
• Fluency in English; Dutch is a welcome bonus.
