The Weather & Energy Solutions (WES) is a dedicated trading desk responsible for managing weather risks across the ENGIE Group’s BUs and supporting the development of S&EM’s commercial activities related to weather derivatives.
In addition to its strategic position as the Group’s sole trading interface with weather markets, WES contributes to improving ENGIE’s financial performance through its weather risk outsourcing activities. This role is increasingly critical in a global business model that is becoming more sensitive to weather volatility, particularly with the growth of renewable energy production.
