The Program
At Novo Nordisk, interns will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced industry professionals and gain valuable, hands-on, full-time work experience. For ten working weeks, interns will be immersed in the environment of a global pharmaceutical company and contribute to the line of business by providing sustainable and meaningful project work. Our internship program also includes instructor led trainings, a leadership engagement series, and a guided mentorship program to offer professional and personal development.

Scope of Position
In this position, the Data Science intern will be part of a collaborative data science team and will work on analyzing/visualizing and/or developing algorithms on wearable and digital devices data. With inputs and guidance from their daily supervisor, the intern will develop Python code for signal processing, AI and machine learning algorithms and/or analyze and visualize data related to wearable devices (e.g. actigraphy device) and time series signals (e.g. ECG data). In their work, the intern will use tools like Databricks or SageMaker for development, Azure Devops for code versioning and agile project management. The intern will meet regularly with their supervisor, prepare and give regular presentations on their work progress to the supervisor and the rest of the team. Our team is highly collaborative, so the intern will participate in regular team meetings and may collaborate with the rest of the team on items that facilitate their work.

The base compensation range for this position is $52,000 to $89,000 on an hourly basis. Due to the temporary nature of this program, this position is not eligible to participate in any of the Company's benefit plans and will not be entitled to any paid time off unless otherwise required by applicable law.
