Our group is part of Bayer Crop Science, with a strong focus on Industrial Biotechnology. Across divisions and countries, we work on the development, establishment, and optimization of biocatalytic processes for the biotechnological production of active ingredients for future pharmaceutical as well as agrochemical products. As part of our projects, we offer motivated students (m/f/d) the opportunity to gain practical experience in an industrial R&D environment and apply the specialist knowledge acquired during their studies in an innovative, forward-looking field.

 

Internship in Biocatalytic Process Development (m/f/d) 

 

 

YOUR TASKS AND LEARNING AREAS

  • You will work on exciting and future-oriented projects in the field of biocatalysis, with relevance to current development Pipeline of the company
  • You will support projects using microbiological, biochemical, biocatalytic, and process-chemistry techniques
  • You will contribute to the establishment, optimization, and scale-up of industrially relevant biocatalytic processes by supporting their industrialization
  • You will work in an automated and digitalized laboratory environment
  • You will evaluate and interpret experimental data from various analytical methods
  • You will gain insight into industrial biotechnology workflows and processes

 

WHO ARE YOU

  • You have completed a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, or a related field
  • You have laboratory experience in biocatalysis. Experience in biochemistry, process optimization, organic chemistry, microbiology, or molecular biology is an advantage
  • You have solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • You are highly motivated to learn
  • You enjoy working in a multidisciplinary and intercultural team
  • Good written and spoken English skills complete your profile
