Merck Group is offering an onsite MSAT Digital & AI Transformation internship in Fenil-sur-Corsier for 6 or 12 months starting August/September 2026. You will migrate and centralize the team’s knowledge onto a unified SharePoint, design the information architecture, lead change management, and build Power Automate workflows and Power BI dashboards to automate processes and support data driven decisions, while integrating AI tools for autonomous drafting and impact analysis under cGMP. Ideal candidates are Master’s or engineering students in Data Science, CS, Digital Engineering or Management of Technology; proficient in SharePoint and Microsoft 365; Python and SQL a plus; fluent in French with English working proficiency; strong communicator and collaborator. Within the MSAT (Manufacturing Science and Technology) department, our operational knowledge has been built over the years across a variety of tools and platforms: local drives, Teams channels, and shared directories. As our team grows and our processes mature in a fast-paced, highly regulated biotech environment, we are now ready to take the next step: consolidating everything onto a single, structured, and visually intuitive SharePoint platform while embedding AI into our ways of working.

You will join a multidisciplinary team working within our Cleaning Validation, Process Validation, and Continued Process Verification (CPV) group, creating and implementing solutions to support the manufacturing of next-generation biological therapeutics. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.

Your role:

• Lead the migration and centralization of our operational knowledge landscape from local drives, network folders, and Teams channels onto a visually intuitive and unified SharePoint platform, designed for clarity and ease of use across the MSAT department
• Design the information architecture by structuring document libraries, metadata, naming conventions, version control, and access logic
• Lead change management by supporting teams through the digital transition with clear communication and adoption guidance
• Develop Power Automate workflows and Power BI dashboards to automate processes and support data-driven decision-making
• Integrate AI tools and agents to enable autonomous document drafting and to analyze production process impacts based on existing impact databases
• Collaborate with Process Validation, Cleaning Validation, and CPV teams to ensure all digital solutions comply with cGMP regulatory requirements

Your profile:

• Master's or engineering student in Data Science, Computer Science, Digital Engineering, or Management of Technology
• Proficiency in SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365 Suite (Teams, OneDrive, Lists, Forms), and information architecture principles - required / Hands-on experience with Power Automate and Power BI - recommended / Familiarity with AI/GenAI tools and agentic frameworks - recommended / Coding skills in Python; SQL is a plus
• Basic awareness of cGMP regulations and the biotech/pharmaceutical industry - recommended
• Results-driven - takes full ownership of deliverables and sees them through from start to finish
• Open-minded and creative thinker - challenges the status quo, thinks outside the box, and brings fresh perspectives to complex problems
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across teams and hierarchy levels and translates technical complexity into clear, actionable insights

• French (working language on site); English (working proficiency)
