Merck Group offers a six-month internship in Reporting Automation in Corsier-sur-Vevey, starting February or March 2027. The role blends user research with prototyping an AI powered reporting solution using enterprise tools and LLM APIs, followed by testing. Role level: Internship

Your role: 

• Learn how the selected team creates reports today and where the process could be made easier
• Talk to people who use the reports and turn their needs into a few clear, practical examples
• Explore the enterprise tools (modern LLM APIs – OpenAI, Claude, DeepSeek, etc.) and data available to build the solution
• Build a working agentic AI prototype that turns data into a tailored report
• Try out report layouts, charts, and simple automation so the results are useful and easy to understand
• Test your prototype with realistic examples, gather feedback, and improve it
• Explain how it works, what you learned, and what could be developed next

Your profil:

• Master’s studies in computer science, data science, business analytics, engineering, information systems, or a related field
• Interest in reporting automation, digital transformation, and data-driven decision-making
• Experience with data analysis, business intelligence, process modelling, or prototyping
• Familiarity with enterprise reporting, visualization, workflow, low-code/no-code tools, SQL, Python, or similar technologies
• Structured thinking, hands-on problem solving
• Strong communication skills in English and/or French
