FundRock NZ Limited is a licensed MIS manager under New Zealand’s Financial Markets Conduct Act.  Through our Fund Hosting business, we issue and manage investment funds in NZ for:

  • offshore investment managers who want to offer PIE-compliant funds to NZ investors, but don’t want to go through the licensing process themselves; and

  • domestic investment managers who want to outsource the issuing and managing of their funds, so they can concentrate on investment management and distribution activities.

Investment Product Specialist
Location : Wellington

The ideal candidate will have some experience working within the investment management industry. You will quickly develop a comprehensive understanding of creating and managing investment funds, reflecting that you will be involved in helping manage 30+ managed investment schemes with more than $ 14 billion of assets.

Ideally you will come from an investment operations, finance, product, or legal background, and be eager to learn. The role involves working on the funds we create and manage, interacting with investment managers and other key suppliers, and dealing with regulators and scheme supervisors.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work as a key member within our investment product team. You will work alongside our experienced team of specialists who will help build your investment fund knowledge and expertise.

  • Help manage our relationships with global investment managers, wholesale and retail clients who invest in the funds, and key suppliers within the funds management industry. This will provide you with a great understanding of the New Zealand funds management landscape.

  • Assisting in the preparation of fund information including disclosure material for registration with the regulator. This will help build skills around creating and managing New Zealand investment funds.

  • Coordinating and completing key compliance tasks to ensure that all statutory tasks are completed on time for all of the investment funds that we manage.

  • Coordinate the preparation of quarterly supervisor and investment manager certificates.

  • Coordinate preparing quarterly information for our board of directors.

  • Assist in the management of the ongoing relationship with our statutory supervisors and other key stakeholders.
