The IRI Technician is a field-based role responsible for measuring pavement smoothness and supporting quality assurance on active roadway construction projects. This position operates specialized IRI data collection equipment, including an instrumented vehicle, to assess newly paved surfaces and ensure compliance with project specifications.
Working closely with paving crews, contractors, and internal teams, the IRI Technician coordinates field testing activities, collects and validates data, and contributes to project acceptance and reporting. This role requires a high degree of independence, strong communication skills, and flexibility to travel extensively across Ontario, with occasional out-of-province assignments.
This role is best suited for individual who are comfortable with a travel-intensive work environment and dynamic, field-driven schedules.
$24.00 - $26.00 per hour
