Job Description: Islamic Teacher For Non-Arabs (Cycle 1 & 2)

International Community Schools (ICS) at our Al Falah City campus is seeking an inspiring and dedicated Islamic Teacher for Non-Arabs to join our Academic Department. This pivotal role involves delivering engaging Islamic Studies education to our diverse student body in Cycle 1 and Cycle 2, fostering spiritual growth and cultural understanding within the framework of the American curriculum.

1. Qualifications & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Islamic Studies, Sharia, Quranic Sciences, or a closely related field from an accredited university.

  • A recognized teaching qualification or certification (e.g., B.Ed, PGCE, or equivalent teaching license) is essential.

  • All academic degrees and qualifications must be attested by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) and possess equivalency from the UAE Ministry of Education for foreign degrees.

  • IELTS score of 5.5 or above is required.

2. Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of full-time teaching experience in Islamic Studies, specifically catering to non-Arab students.

  • Demonstrated experience teaching within an American curriculum school setting (Common Core / US Standards) is mandatory.

  • Prior experience in the UAE or broader GCC region is highly advantageous.

  • Proven ability to effectively teach students across Cycle 1 (KG2-Grade 2) and Cycle 2 (Grade 3-Grade 5) age groups.

5. UAE-Specific Requirements:

  • ADEK Compliance: Eligibility for, or possession of, an ADEK Teacher License is mandatory. Candidates must meet all requirements set by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK).

  • Good Standing Certificate: Provision of a recent police clearance certificate from your country of origin and any country you have resided in for the past five years.
