The Role 🥳
We're hiring our very first dedicated IT Manager to be our go-to person for all things internal IT. You'll be playing a critical role in Relevance AI's IT infrastructure at this junction in our growth journey. Based in Sydney, you'll have ownership of day-to-day IT support, keep our corporate environment running smoothly and have the opportunity to build and scale our IT foundations as we grow our presence globally. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you'll own every aspect of our IT environment in one of Australia's fastest-growing AI companies.
In return, you'll receive significant autonomy and trust from leadership to set up our IT systems for success - making decisions around how we can improve device management, access control, onboarding/offboarding, and vendor workflows that will define how we work for years to come. No legacy systems and technical debt to untangle, no bureaucratic approval layers to navigate - just the freedom to build it right from day one. You'll partner closely with stakeholders across the business, earning trust and driving both quick wins and transformative infrastructure improvements.
You'll own our Apple-first environment and core IT tooling (including MDM and identity/access management), building these systems from the ground up to ensure our team can do their best work with zero friction. As we scale, you'll continuously optimize our infrastructure through thoughtful automation and process improvements, creating an IT foundation that grows elegantly with us.
Your Impact💥
Be the first point of contact for day-to-day IT support, rapidly unblocking teammates with issues across devices, networks, and access.
Own our corporate infrastructure end to end—laptops, office network, peripherals, and AV—ensuring that our offices in Sydney, San Francisco and remote employees can work smoothly.
Run IT onboarding and offboarding, including provisioning, account setup/removal, and access changes across our SaaS stack.
Administer and improve identity and device management (Entra and Kandji) to keep access reliable, consistent, and scalable.
Partner with stakeholders on vendor and tool management—helping bring order to a large SaaS footprint, reducing duplication, and improving how we buy and manage software.
Create and iterate lightweight IT processes and documentation, bringing structure to a fast-growing environment without slowing the business down.
Drive incremental automation and operational improvements over time, connecting systems and workflows to make IT more efficient as we scale.
What We’re Looking For 🧠
4+ years of hands-on IT experience, ideally in fast-moving tech environments or scaling startups.
Preference for macOS support skills and experience managing Apple fleets (we're an Apple-first environment).
Experience with mobile device management and provisioning workflows (e.g., MDM such as Kandji or similar).
Working knowledge of identity and access management, including onboarding/offboarding and access lifecycle management (e.g., Entra/Google Workspace).
Comfortable owning day-to-day IT support (helpdesk/ticket triage) while driving improvements across corporate infrastructure (laptops, office network, peripherals, and AV).
Excellent prioritisation and communication skills—able to run change rollouts and partner with stakeholders across the business.
Able to work autonomously through ambiguity, take end-to-end ownership, and steadily bring order and process to a growing environment.
