As an IT Support Specialist, your key area of responsibility will be supporting workplace IT infrastructure, including meeting rooms and LAN rooms, while collaborating with Technical Services, IT Security, and Facilities teams to ensure seamless IT operations.
To be successful in this role, you will be a strong team-player with an entrepreneurial mindset who is comfortable in a flat organization and possesses high accuracy and meticulous attention to detail. In addition, the successful candidate will have strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while responding to fast-changing priorities and deadlines.
Respond to and resolve Service Desk tickets while maintaining SLA compliance.
Install, configure, move, and upgrade workstations (Windows, Mac, Linux, ChromeOS) and peripherals.
Provide hardware/software troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
Perform patch management, vulnerability remediation, and agent maintenance for workstations.
Onboard and offboard employees, including preparing, shipping, and receiving IT equipment.
Support Google Workspace administration, including email, Drive, and account management.
Maintain and support printers, scanners, badge access systems, and meeting rooms.
Track, manage, and maintain IT asset inventory (computers, peripherals, cell phones).
Manage the full lifecycle of corporate mobile devices, including ordering, activation, and upgrades.
Contribute to and maintain IT knowledge base and documentation.
Oversee IT operations for office spaces, LAN rooms, and data closets.
Support networking hardware (switches, routers, firewalls, wireless APs) in coordination with network teams.
Assist with the installation and maintenance of A/V equipment (Google Meet rooms, Userful LED walls, projectors, etc.).
Work with vendors to install and maintain ISP connections, power circuits, and cabling.
Ensure best practices for power, cooling, cabling, and labeling in office IT environments.
Support office expansions, renovations, closures and new site deployments in collaboration with Facilities.
Perform regular audits of IT equipment and infrastructure to maintain operational efficiency.
Participate in incident response and troubleshooting related to workplace IT infrastructure.
Ensure compliance with IT security policies and remediation of identified gaps.
Handle shipping and receiving of IT equipment for new setups and relocations.
1 - 3 years of IT support experience (service desk, desktop, or infrastructure).
Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Strong technical knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux/Ubuntu) and Google Workspace administration.
Familiarity with network concepts and the ability to diagnose/resolve intermediate technical issues (LAN, WAN, connectivity).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
Highly organized professional able to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects.
Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, or ITIL Foundations) are highly valued.
