Why this role matters 

We are looking for an energetic, dedicated and detail-oriented Paralegal to support our legal team, primarily focusing on corporate governance, structuring, compliance and mergers and acquisitions. This role will provide critical support in managing legal documentation, assisting with due diligence processes, and contributing to the efficient operation of the legal department. 

Key responsibilities  

  • Support the legal team in managing and organizing documentation for corporate and commercial matters. 
  • Manage and maintain legal databases, ensuring documents are stored and retrievable efficiently. 
  • Oversee global government and regulatory filing and administration. 
  • Prepare legal documents, including commercial contracts, M&A transaction documents (including due diligence reports), board and shareholder resolutions. 
  • Lead company secretarial initiatives with respect to managing the group structure, overseeing board and shareholder governance. 
  • Conduct legal research and analysis under the guidance of senior legal staff. 
  • Help in coordinating and organizing materials for meetings, presentations, and internal/external communications. 
  • Collaborate with the legal team to ensure deadlines are met, and processes are followed accurately and monitor renewals of contracts. 
  • Provide administrative support to the legal team, including correspondencearchiving, and file management. 
  • Ownership of signing and closing processes. 
  • Help in ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. 

 

Qualifications & Attributes 

  • Bachelor’s degree in law or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience. 
  • At least 3 years' experience in either a law firm or in-house, with a preference for having completed at least a year in an international law firm. 
  • Strong organizational skills, document management, and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Arabic and/or Spanish is an advantage. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Proficiency in legal research tools, AI resources, and standard office software. 
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
