About the Role 🌱Reporting to the Senior Credit Controller, this role supports the day-to-day management of the company’s accounts receivable (AR) and rebate recovery activities.
You’ll assist with customer account follow-ups, payment tracking, system updates, and rebate-related administration, working closely with the Credit, Finance, Sales, and Operations teams. This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their finance or accounts receivable career who is keen to learn credit control processes, build confidence communicating with customers, and grow within a fast-paced, supportive environment.
Please note: This role is on-site Monday–Friday at our vibrant Byron Bay HQ (industrial estate) and will commence as a casual position with full-time hours.Please only apply if you reside in the Northern Rivers.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Credit & Collections
  • Support the management of customer accounts and outstanding balances
  • Make outbound collection calls and send follow-up emails
  • Assist with payment arrangements and maintain clear account notes
  • Monitor aged receivables and flag overdue or higher-risk accounts
  • Escalate issues in line with established credit policies
  • Accounts & Reporting
  • Review ageing reports and assist in identifying payment trends
  • Help with basic receivables reporting
  • Investigate customer queries, disputes, or payment delays
  • Maintain accurate account records and assist with cash application
  • Rebates & Adjustments
  • Track rebate-related receivables and outstanding adjustments
  • Support reconciliation of rebate claims
  • Follow up aged rebate items and escalate delays when required
  • Process & Team Support
  • Help improve credit and rebate processes as the business scales
  • Assist with documenting procedures and keeping systems up to date
  • Work cross-functionally to resolve account queries efficiently
  • Compliance & Accuracy
  • Accurately record all calls, notes, and communications
  • Follow internal policies and Australian Consumer Law guidelines
  • Support consistent, compliant credit practices

What We’re Looking For

  • Comfortable using Google Sheets (training provided)
  • Exposure to Xero, Salesforce, or similar systems is a bonus
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Confident, friendly communicator who’s comfortable speaking with customers
