Travel is a normal aspect of the job, with weekly trips throughout the designated region and the possibility of overnight stays; hotel accommodations and a company vehicle are provided when needed. You’ll operate with a smartphone or tablet as your main reporting tool, and any prior tool knowledge will be a nice bonus to bring to the team.

Tips to help you shine in this role
Put your most relevant roofing and field experience at the top of your resume, especially any repairs, maintenance, or grease containment tasks you’ve led or supported. Don’t forget to call out your driving record and your willingness to travel weekly within the region; those are central to this job.
When you prove you have the must-have skills, share concrete examples. Describe a project where you performed rooftop repairs or maintenance, how you stayed safe, and how you communicated progress to a client or supervisor. If you’ve used a smartphone or tablet to submit reports on the job, quantify how you kept timelines and accuracy high.
For interviews, be prepared to discuss safety protocols you’ve followed on previous rooftop tasks, a time you worked through a weather-related challenge, and how you stayed organized while handling multiple tasks on site. A smart question to ask is how field support collaborates to improve processes, this shows you’re ready to contribute to the wider operations team and drive efficiency.
