Ko tō tūranga – your role

As Key Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in growing One NZ’s enterprise business by building trusted partnerships with high-value customers and unlocking new revenue opportunities within an existing portfolio. You will work closely with customers to understand their business goals, identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and position One NZ as a trusted digital partner that helps them innovate and achieve better outcomes.

 

This is a commercially focused, relationship-led role suited to someone who thrives on creating value through strong stakeholder engagement, strategic account planning, and solution selling. You will be responsible for driving customer growth, strengthening loyalty, and delivering a pipeline of future business while balancing customer needs with commercial results.

Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do

  • Develop and lead strategic account plans to grow revenue within a defined portfolio by identifying up-sell and cross-sell opportunities by outlining customer key decision makers, key contacts, strategic objectives and execution strategy.
  • Develop a clear understanding of customer strategic objectives, to assist them to accelerate their innovation through technology solutions
  • Manage key and strategic stakeholder relationships to achieve high NPS scores, improving conversion and close rates
  • Prospect develop and close opportunities through driving core mobile, fixed and ICT products as per portfolio target.
  • Commitment to customer management in order to promote increased growth and loyalty
  • Collaborate and self-organise with team members to meet the shared goals
  • Present reporting against targets and sales pipeline that demonstrate customer growth and loyalty

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence outcomes
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging at all levels
  • Proven account management experience, with a track record of delivering strong commercial results
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to understand customer needs and identify growth opportunities
  • Strong solution-selling experience across multiple markets and channels
  • High attention to detail, with strong planning and reporting skills to support decision-making
  • Self-motivated and highly productive, with the initiative to work independently and get things done
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage activity, pipeline, and customer engagement
