Your Role:

As part of the NZ Markets team, you'll report to the Key Accounts Coordination Lead (NI) and support LIC's Key Accounts team in delivering exceptional outcomes for some of New Zealand's largest dairy farming businesses.

NZ Markets is LIC's primary customer-facing function, responsible for understanding customer needs, delivering value, and ensuring customer insights help shape future products, services, and investment decisions. Working closely with the Key Accounts team, you'll combine customer engagement, herd improvement insights, data analysis, and sales support to strengthen customer relationships and drive value on-farm.

This role is based at Newstead Hamilton with customers located throughout New Zealand.

Your Key Focus:

  • High-Quality Herd Improvement Delivery: Provide reporting and analysis that supports herd improvement discussions and customer decision-making.

  • Strategic Business Development: Support the Key Accounts Manager to identify and pursue new business opportunities.

  • Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with a portfolio of Key Account customers and provide outstanding service and support.

  • Timely Campaign Execution: Coordinate sales initiatives and ensure customers are informed about LIC products and services.

  • Comprehensive Sales Support: Attend sales meetings alongside Key Account Management team and handle all administrative tasks, covering both pre- and post-sales activities to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.

  • Solutions and Insight-Led Selling: Support the delivery of tailored herd improvement solutions that drive customer productivity and profitability.

  • Data Sharing and Analysis Collaboration: Work with the Key Accounts team to leverage data and insights that enhance service delivery.

  • Customer Insight Gathering: Represent LIC at industry events and share customer insights to help shape future offerings.

  • Travel Requirements: Regular travel, including occasional overnight stays, is a feature of this role.

Your Key Skills & Experience:

  • Strong attention to detail and technical capability.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships, internally and externally.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ideally experience working with MINDA.

  • Knowledge of dairy farming systems, herd improvement, and data management.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Well-developed planning, organisation, and time management abilities.

  • Previous experience in a customer-facing, sales support, or customer experience role is advantageous.
