Job Description

Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Kitchen Attendant to support our kitchen operations on a casual basis.

This role is essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of all kitchen areas. The successful candidate will maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards, assist with food preparation, and support the cooks in delivering high-quality meals to guests.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensure the cleanliness and sanitisation of all kitchen areas and equipment.
  • Operate, maintain and clean kitchen equipment according to safety standards.
  • Assist Cooks with the assembly and preparation of ingredients for cooking.
  • Provide general support to the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and all regulatory requirements.
  • Support stock control, ingredient storage and organisation of kitchen supplies.

Shift Details (subject to change):

  • Rotating roster across Monday through to Sunday
  • Shifts are including evenings, weekends and public holidays

Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation):

Monday - Friday: $30.35 per hour

Saturday: $36.42 per hour

Sunday: $42.49 per hour

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Minimum 12 months experience in a similar kitchen or hospitality position.
  • Currently studying Commercial Cookery or a relevant course is desirable.
  • Friendly, positive attitude with professional presentation.
  • Experience providing quality customer service.
  • Reliable, proactive and able to work with a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
